While browsing itunes with the kids a few days ago, I ran across a song that made me nostalgic for my college days. Shockingly, it's by Billy Joel and is "Tomorrow is Today" from the Cold Spring Harbor album.
Now, normally I'm not a Billy Joel fan in the least. I can admit that my musical tastes have mellowed more in my old age, but in college I truly couldn't stand him. I happened to be blessed with two roommates who loved Billy and two more that were fine with listening to Billy. They spent many hours singing and dancing to various albums and I spent many hours with a pillow over my head, door closed, trying to study.
It was one such time that this song came on and I asked Jen to play it again. The looks on their faces were priceless.
So, of course I bought the song. I still like it.
(I only share this because I have to do month-end for work and I'm trying my hardest not to work at all.)

Trying to study? Are you kidding me right now?
Hey! I worked hard for that A in Pathophysiology. True, it might have been the *only* class I studied for, but Billy Joel was a very disruptive influence. And did I mention that I hated his music??
