Bum Bumper

I was driving the kids to gymnastics today when I noticed I was nearly out of gas. I dropped them off, and pulled into a gas station. Imagine my surprise when I looked down and noticed a huge dent in the side of the bumper on my van. Now, I am pretty happy that it's ONLY the bumper. It could have been several thousand dollars worth of damage, and replacing the bumper is probably only going to cost me a thousand. That said, ARRRRRRRGH!

Who runs into someone and goes, "oh well!" and leaves?!?! It's a freaking crime! Besides, I didn't actually want to replace the bumper on my van just yet! GRRRRRR. The worst part is, I have no idea if it happened at school, wal mart, or even for sure if it happened today (although I'm pretty confident). Totally annoying.

Oh that is maddening...but I guess it was time to replace your bumper...and responses like mine are maddening as well...but you'll eventually meet the person in some big court-on-high and they'll beg forgiveness and you'll say "oh no, thanks..really...lingering over my bumper stalled me up for enough minutes that kept me from a gigantic wreck I would have been in if I would have jumped back on the road...THANK YOU!!!"...and that's how MY weird little mind works...

weirdly, I mostly agree. I really don't even care about the bumper today. But, when I have to get it replaced, I bet I get all mad and grumpy again. . .

Ugg. . once a guy hit our car and dinged it. He left his number on our car window to call him. I talked to him and he was a really nice guy. Jacob and I talked it over and decided we offer to forgive the ding if he would accept a Book Of Mormon from us. He gladly agreed to our terms and we had a really neat missionary experience with him. And, a year later we were in a real accident and that whole panel on the car was replaced, anyway. So, it all works out, as annoying as that sounds.
